You’re in the right place

Whatever brought you here, you’re welcome.

Low desire. Mismatched drives. Guilt that didn’t go away after the wedding. Questions you’ve never felt safe asking at church. We talk about all of it, with warmth and with the doctrine intact.

Rooted in the gospel

We believe sexuality and theology don’t have to be at odds. Everything we teach is meant to sit comfortably alongside Church teachings, not push against them.

Clinically grounded

Both hosts are certified sex therapists with years of experience helping couples. Sex therapy is talk therapy, and what we share is what actually works.

A safe place for hard questions

God is not a shaming parent. Neither are we. Bring the awkward, the painful, and the “is this normal?” questions. You’ll find acceptance here.

Common questions

Before you hit play

Is this podcast in line with Church teachings?

That’s the whole point. We’re active members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and we believe sexual intimacy in marriage is a sacred gift from God. We stay inside Church doctrine and avoid fringe takes. We aren’t an official Church publication, and we’ll always say so.

Who is this for?

Married couples first, but also engaged and dating Latter-day Saints, and anyone in the Church trying to sort out what they believe about sex. If you have a question you’ve been afraid to ask, you’re our audience.

What is sex therapy, exactly?

Sex therapy is strictly talk therapy. A certified sex therapist helps individuals and couples with desire, pain, communication, trauma, pornography, and the dozens of other things that get in the way of a healthy sexual relationship. Nothing physical ever happens in a session.

Is listening the same as therapy?

No. The podcast is education and encouragement. If you’re struggling in a way that isn’t getting better, please reach out to a licensed therapist. We’ll point you toward good resources along the way.

Can I send in a question?

Yes, please do. Ask a question and we may answer it on a future episode. Questions are kept anonymous.

Have a question you’ve never felt safe asking?

Send it in anonymously. Your question might be exactly what another couple needs to hear answered.

A note on what this is. Latter-Day Sex is an educational podcast. It is not therapy and is not a substitute for working with a licensed professional. If something here stirs up more than you expected, that’s a good sign it’s worth talking through with someone qualified.

This podcast is produced independently and is not an official publication of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The views expressed are those of the hosts.
